maybe one weekend out of the month my cousin stays on the saturday, just chill with some beers, watch some footie, typical kind of day. but literally every 10 seconds he is texting his gf (and she is a beast anyway :o).

now whenever i go anywhere, i would say to gf am out with the lads etc, will speak to you on the night or in morning depending on the state am in. But he is that far under the thumb, and wearing the skirt, im sure he his scared to ignore her. she is clingy and paranoid and wont let him do anything on his own, which is the reason for the every 10 second texts, so she knows he cant do anything. Anyway, it got to the point where i just said ffs, if all your going to do is text on that thing all day then dont bother coming round no more because its annoying as hell.

So it got me thinking, how many of you would be annoyed if your talking to someone or watching say the footie/film or something, and every 2 seconds the phone is out tap tap tap!!

Yeh that really does 'grip my ****'

I don't mind if its just 2-3 texts such as 'hows it going etc' but when people are texting ALL night i just think...what was the point of you even coming over?

Haha, my gf annoys me with this when she's with me! Blackberrys are the worst inventions alongside with Facebook, constantly on her phone looking at Facebook, so annoying -.-

If I'm out with the lads, it's a good night text and that's her lot. Unless I've forgotten my keys, in which case she's lucky to get two texts and several phone calls.

:D

*spits*

Women :(

Yeah I'd be damn annoyed. What do the texts say? It's not like they have anything interesting to talk about that they can't do in person.

i havnt seem them, but would imagine they say things like, "where you at", "what you doing", "where you going", "what you doing now", "dont ignore me", "talk to me im bored", then the same over and over again i imagine :o

FFS, she can't control his life. Tell him to tell her she's a manipulative whore that poos in her pants.

In all seriousness, if it's that trivial, then why can't a quick phone call do it? She is obviously stupid in suspecting him of dodgy activities, so he could phone her from your house, with the footy in the background, to put her mind at rest

Not that it has happened to me but I do know someone who's married to a control freak like that.
Luckily for him he can't afford a mobile.
Ask him out for a pint... Naa missus wont let me
Ask him to go on a trip to Germany... Naa missus would want to come
New Years eve his missus went out on the lash and left him sat behind his PC !!
I've tried to "wake him up" so to speak but married with kids.... things ain't going to change.
Feel sorry for him in a way, he doesn't seem to have a life of his own. :(

I wouldn't have a problem unless I was actually talking to someone and they kept checking/reading their phone. Then it's rude.

If you were on a date it would be different, then the other person shouldn't be using the phone at all.

Reminds me of a mate of mine. He's that far under the thumb that he's constantly texting the Mrs whenever he's out of her sight. I mean he's quick with the text, quick indeed, however, if he's not replied to a text of her's within 10-20 seconds of receipt, it's followed up with another message just containing a question mark.

I could however point this out to her employer. She's often texting whilst in work despite there being a ban in place on mobiles due to the nature of her work handling payment details etc.
