Can I get this repaired without having to buy whole new glasses?

I got slapped (lol) and they flew of my head and because of the rimless glasses, they have a 1cm chip at the top of the lens.

Can an opticians work their magic to sort this out cheap? Or is it going to cost a bomb...?

You should be able to just get the damaged lens changed, no idea on the cost, though. Depending on your prescription it could take a week to get the lens; have you a backup pair to use in the meantime?

You will have to get the damaged lense replaced... it is probably about £40 tho for a plain uncoated lense unless your optician is a complete rip off merchant.

I hope you shouted "My glasses!" when you got slapped, or added on the optional "I can't see without my glasses!" :D

Go on then, how did it happen?

Price will depend on the thickness of the lense etc. You'll want tog et the same size as the unbroken one. If you get mismatched sizes it'll make things blurry or cause headaches.

Might be cheaper just to get a brand new pair from glassedirect.

Depending on how thick the lenses, and whether you want the protective coating etc, it can range from between £20 to about £200. With rimless glasses I guess you no doubt had protective coatings on them?

Mine recently for my -3.75 extra thin lenses were about £140.

Even polycarbonate lenses with coating can be bought for much less than that nowadays.

The OP just needs a lens replacement. They can get it from a glasses maker rather than an optician, which greatly reduces the price.

i dont think is to dear to a get a lense replaced...how old are the glasses as there might be a slight difference ie yours might have a few scratches on them .
