No point in re-writing a webnote I sent to OCUK earlier tonight but I thought you might all like to have a laugh at what I've done.
Feel like a right tool, my mate is ripping me about it, I should invest in some glasses. The stupid thing is, when I was putting the damn thing, I knew that the power connections for the 5870 were on the side and not at the back like the 5850's!
I really hope this card doesn't die on me because I'll really be screwed then. At least it's a decent card, but it did hurt my pockets a little, even more than the mistake I've made. :/

Hi there, my name is _My Real name here_ I ordered 2 items from yourselves about a month ago and I seem to be a little confused about something :S
I've only just been told that I've received the wrong item from yourself which has got myself worried. According to my order, I ordered a VTX Radeon 5870 but a friend of mine who recommended the card to me has just informed me that I've installed a 5850 and not the 5870, and while I thought he was playing some funny joke on me he has shown me that I've got an 5850 and not the 5870 which I ordered.
And what I'm now really worried about is the warranty of the card I have, and to my understanding (Well, common sense) is that because I've opened this product and been using it, I cannot send it back to yourselves, but also you won't be able to honour the warranty on the card if in future it goes faulty? Would I need to send it to VTX instead? Or would I run into the same problem where I've meant to have gotten a 5870 and not the 5850 and they won't be able to honour the warranty as well? :S
I'm not asking for you to replace the card or asking or refund me money or anything because I'll admit it's my mistake but if it ever goes faulty before the warranty runs out I'm just worried about what I need to do or if I can do anything to get it fixed? The card itself at the moment is running fine, but I noticed that I wasn't getting the speeds I thought I should have been getting on higher graphical settings and I thought I had a virus or something on my computer which lead to my friend coming round and telling me about the card etc.. :-/
If you could write back to me and confirm what I'm afraid of then please do so -- feeling a bit of an idiot at the moment..
Regards,
Tony
