How do you play games on the Alienware M11x?

Just a thought - I have seen the videos of this mini-laptop playing Mass Effect 2 and MW2 but without a built in DVD drive does this mean you will have to carry around a portable USB one to play games given most require a DVD these days - or do Alienware expect you to just crack each game?

I would imagine Steam..... or a lot of games now have cracks for them which isnt illegal if you own the game. TBH i cant remember the last time I went to shop to buy game? maybe WOW but you can download that any way from blizzard with cd key

Are you sure about that? Regardless of ownership isn't the issue the circumvention of the copy protection?

maybe im wrong? but assumes as the website everyone gets from (wont mention) i believe is still going... but like I said I use steam

don't ME2 and MW2 both have online-DRM that means that you don't need the disk to play them anyway?

Yes basically you need to activate via the steam software and be online if you want to play - games tied to this steam account
or offline 'mode' if it's installed and want to play singleplayer? I suppose...

I am really looking into getting one of these, granted they aren't super powerful but if a laptop can handle games out now i guess that will do me for light laptop gaming. But more importantly a lot of Netbooks have been a bit rubbish and its nice to see a small form factor with a bit of power! Rather have one of these as a second device than an underpowered teatray known as the iPad.
