I think MAG would be quite good on PC.
 
You don't quite realize until you just stand back and watch whats going on, when you realize those mortar sounds aren't just background noise like in most FPS games - its basically like being in a war zone, without being in a war zone. It has everything, the environment, the sounds, the effects - sure it has its flaws, but for the amount of pro's it has, i pretty much ignore the cons!
 
Think I'm starting to find my feet with this game, and really starting to enjoy it.

Loving the recon as an infiltrator (rather than the sniper), getting behind enemy lines and blowing up the tanks.

Favourite bit has to be setting the objective charge, sticking 3 lumps of C4 on the walls/floor around it, it then legging it in to the trees. Such a good feeling when you see 4 guys run to defuse the m-con with your thumb over the detonate button.

Wish my pc would handle it better thought, at 1920x1080 its sluggish as hell, even with the res turned down you can tell its hungry for a quad, by the time I get through the loading screen normally half my squad is down in the thick of the action.
 
Anybody else seemingly stuck on low graphics settings?

i got a free beta key from fileplay and then decided to order it off steam, on both accounts of installation ive found that the graphics dont change between low and high and that anti-aliasing is restricted to just 1x...

tried updating from my xtreme-g drivers upto latest nvidia bc2 cert drivers...

i read on a few websites that this beta the graphics were limited to low as they were testing game mechanics and server stability instead.

anyone played both PC beta and 360 demo ?

just wondering how they compare - as I have a decent PC and a 360, and I tend to buy multiplayer games on the 360 - due to XBOX Live, friends lists etc, but I'm struggling a bit with hte low frame rate and low res graphics on the 360 for this game

is it noticeably improved on PC ?
 
Is it really any surprise that a game would suck if its key feature was taken out? That's like saying going to the art museum sucks if you're a blind person.
 
anyone noticed in the videos on the home battlefield website, that the guns seem to be a lot more stable in operation and the sniper scope isnt all blury and its got a bigger FOV in the xbox version, i hope this gets sorted.

If you haven't done so already, go to your options and in the sound settings change it from HIFI to Wartapes... it will give you a semi.


Comparison vid there, Wartapes first followed by HIFI(default).

Going to fap to my speakers brb.
