E46 320i Airflow Meter?

Anyone know anywhere thats sells decent quality MAF or Airflow meter for E46 3 series, just phoned local stealer they want £230.48 :eek: Eurocarparts have them for about £103 which is much better but wondered if anyone else had any suggestions, from experience VAG ones from dealers are about £90 which for a bit of wire in a plastic housing is still enough.

in 99% sure its the MAF as when the car is warm it can sometimes take quite a while to fire, if i unplug the MAF it starts immediately
 
Have you checked GSF? Usually a similar price to Eurocarparts but worth a look.

The cheap AFMs tend to be made by third party manufactuers parts, and they often don't last long so it's worth going for the OEM part (Siemens on your car I think).

EDIT: Cheap and OEM parts here, big difference in price.

Yeah thats the only other concern, i guess the one from Eurocarparts would come with a warranty tho, ill stay clear of crap ones on fleabay, whats GSF? never heard of them

EDIT - thanks for link, as both come with 1 year warranty is it worth taking a risk on cheaper one?

Thanks, just located the nearest one to me, only about 15 mins away :) worth giving them a shot?

EDIT £178+VAT makes them about £25 cheaper than Main Dealer

I thought ECP is bigger than GSF surely?
 
If the pattern MAF's are anything like the cam sensors you can get for the M54 they'll be hopeless. Try and find an OEM one if you can.

or one at least made by the same people who make the OE one.

ecp will sell you a BOSCH one, which will be the same as the BMW one
 
I agree. Buy OEM or find out who the OEM supplier is and buy that. Dont buy patter MAF's and stuff, its just not worth the bother.
