So I bought a Samsung CLP-315W laser printer which has been great....we've just gone through the first cartridge of black toner and am wondering what to do with it? I read you can drop them off with the purple shirt brigade...but are there any better options?

thanks

No idea, but im curious if you bought compatibles or originals to replace them? If its compatibles, please do tell . . . . . . . .

Bought originals. New to the whole laser printer thing so didn't want to risk buying crap toner. Also though it was pricey (31.84 + ship), at 1500 pages it still seems like a good buy.

If they're anything like the old Samsung mono cartridges they'll refill easily. Mum's ML-1210 is on it's fourth refill of the original cartridge and the imaging drum is still fine. Cost about about a tenner for a kit that's basically a pint bottle of toner and the instructions.

As for the old stuff recycle it. I take mine to work and stick them in the recycling bins we have on each floor.

Case mod? Nah, just check with your council, loads of places recycle them. There must be a mail in one as well!!
