Hey all,

I'm crap at finding cheap flights, wondering if anyone can help me with this :D.

Looking at going to Hong Kong, flying out 16th-19th of Feb returning 22-26 March. Cheapest I can find is £371 which I've heard is a POS.

Any help would be nice.

Thank you

Did a quick quote for you on Cathay and it was £440-£540 depending on exact days. Assuming London outbound.

£371 incl. taxes return to HK from the UK is a bargain at any time, let alone a week before travel.

Flying from London, my final destination is Manila but I can get a return HK > Manila for 60£, London > Manila is around 500£

Having a look at it, I think I might spend that extra 40-50£ on a little comfort. How would you rank these airlines?

Cathay Pacific
Emirates
Etihad Airways

They are all showing 500-550£ return to Manila

Having gone from the UK to New Zeland, I can assure you that spending the extra bit of money is SOOOOO worth it.

They are all good outright, let alone compared to Jet.
Cathay is one of the best airlines in the world. Certainly in the top 5.
Cathay Pacific...seriously, that or BA, long haul flights on budget is murder.
BA isn't particularly good at the best of times. It's not really anything special. I'd probably take etihad or emirates.

Having said that, Cathay only has 32" seat pitch compared to Emirates and Etihad's 33". BA only has 31", which is the same as Jet..

Cathay has seats that slide rather then recline, the seat slumps rather then tilts, makes a major difference to comfort.

Oh and the cup noodles:D
