Ok it could have been far worse but the pictures don't really do it justice, most of that plastic trim around the bumper had popped out and some of the bumper was deformed, I gave it a push and it popped in but its still not right.

I went through the CCTV and annoyingly my car is about 5-10m out of view, so I went around some of the houses close by to check if they had CCTV and none did. :(

I have TPFT insurance, so looks like I'm going to be paying for this, how much do you guys think it will cost?

Sorry about crappy phone pics, made worse by the half light.

Edit: Just realised I've made a mess of the thread title lol

Oh and btw, I moved the car into my work car park after, it was parked on a road when this happened.

Looks like there's no marks on your tow bar, so there's even no consolation that they'll have a massive gouge in whatever part of their car hit yours.

It's definitely worth taking the whole bumper off. It may have just unclipped somewhere and need refitting correctly (i.e. not just pushing back in position).

Some tool did this to me on saturday, knocked the light cluster in. Bodged up till we can get another and assess the damage :(

around a fiver. obviously it cant sort the mis alignment but ive been suprised at some of the scrapes ive polished out of my cars with it. are the white bits where the paint has been taken completely off or is it foreign material. cheapest thing for that is probably just a bit of a touch up.

depends how anal you are about your car tbh

I don't fancy doing it myself, I went a much better finish.

Wash, 600 then 1200 grit glasspaper, and if you're really fussed - mask off the bumper area, and spray a couple of coats of colour-match paint over the area to mask the damage. Oh, and re-fit the bumper onto its mountings if its come off.

Had a far worse dent in my rear bumper (gf + car + tree = fail) a few months back, cost about £20 in materials to sort. £13 of which was the can of paint from Halfords.

Body shop I'd estimate £150-200 to sort that - surely theres better things to spend your cash on?

Ok cheers, well I'm very fussy about driving a car with marks on it , would just annoy me if the paint didn't match or something.
