3800x2 or 4200x2

Cant google from work so can someone tell me which I should get (I have been offered 1 or the other) - I can remember a while back that there was discussion that the 3800x2 was a better chip with larger cache etc but cant find it now.

so effectively there is no difference so I may as well take the 4200, change of track now, which one of mine to get rid of a e6300 or e2180?

trying to consolidate some of my pcs!! (and end up with the best of s939, s775) out of the bunch.
 
depends, the e2180 has a 10x multi with 1mb cache wheras the e6300 (conroe) has a 7x multi but 2mb cache so it really depends how far they both overclock. The e2180 might overclock further due to the larger multi. I think an extra 200mhz or so would make up the difference for the lost cache in most programs (apart from the ones that need extra cache).
