amiga days blast from the past

I've been to AmigaKit in Cardiff and have to say there staff there are superb (helped me get a towered Amiga working and set it up for next to nothing!)

For those that can't afford / don't want to get an Amiga I find www.winuae.net superb. You can even setup your Amiga hard-drive in there and then just plug it into an Amiga and it will just work!

Also another good site is www.whdload.de which has custom installers so you can put your original floppies on to the Amigas hard-drive! It's share ware and will do a slow (10 seconds) advert before hand and ask you to regsiter.

did anyone have a go on redsector demo maker ?
make your own demos ?
now that was awesome when you figured out how it all worked
spent a lot of time on that and made some cracking demos

One of the best level choons EVAR. :D

+10000

You can find sites to download a wav file of it - IIRC the tune is called 'THe Desert Rocks'

If you get it working, try pressing the 'Help' key (making sure you've mapped it first if using WinUAE) on the main menu, which takes you to a music menu where you can play all the music in the game back to your heart's content :D

How can this thread have reached this point with no mention of Championship Manager or Sensible Soccer? Best games ever!

I had the Amiga 600 and fitted an 80Mb hard drive which made the keyboard bulge. :D

One of the previous Commodore MD's is on another forum I am on. He sent me a business book he wrote. /end cool story bro

I used to love my amiga 500 with 1/2mb extension and external floppy drive :D

This thread does bring back some great memories:

To add to the list games like,

Test Drive
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge
Sensie Soccer (obviously)
Speedball 2

God there were loads just cant think of them all just now, those screenshots of Stuntcar Racer bring back some nice memories :D

Ah yeah, Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, I remember that.

I was a massive amiga fan back in the day. So much so that my lockup still has a huge amount of stuff. I keep meaning to crack open an a1200 and play a few games but never seem to have the time :(

Amikit are great! I bought my catweasel mk4 from them. M8 of mine recently bought a device that allows pc monitors to work perfectly at any resolution which means even the low scan rates for games work.

Some nice but expensive kit out there.
