Hi guys,

I've not had a car now for about 4 years and its about time I got myself a car. I have approx £7000 to spend and would like something good quality, nice to drive, not bothered about speed, don't want a sports car, 3 or 5 doors doesnt bother me, I haven't got a clue where to start. I'm after something medium sized, I've had a Corsa before and they are too small for me.

Any advice or suggestions would be very welcome. At the moment I'm struggling for ideas having not had a car for so long.

Thanks in advance

Yea Focus is a good shout, also the Mondeo if you want to go a little bigger, Mazda 3 and 6, Honda Civic and Accord are all worth a look I'd say. I am assuming you aren't really interested in 'premium' cars based on what you said, hell all of the stuff I mentioned is premium compared to a Cosra though :D

Hiya guys, thank you all for the replies. Sorry I didnt reply earlier the hotel I'm in doesn't have internet access in my room so I have to come to the lobby to use my laptop.

The car will just be used for going to work, not motorways, around town etc.

I've been looking at the focus on autotrader and there seems some decent low mileage (10,000) 1.6 Zetec ones for around £6500 which are worth a look. Not sure why they are so cheap or if thats about right.

If it's just for pottering around town etc, I'd just get an oldish fiesta 1.25. Unless you want something more special that is :)

Your requirements do not really give much away. What's your max millage, age, running costs etc etc.

IMO just go on PH's and take a look and post back your findings for peoples own opinions on having owned/driven.

Just skip the Vauxhall section. :D
