Project-X and X-Out were both great sideways shooters but hard.

Just kidding i'm massively jealous, used to drool over that humungous cd drive that plugged in the side of a 1200... then the console... although that seemed to ring the bell of doom for commodore

edit: looking at the size of the CD1200, it must've been bigger than a Wii?

The cd1200 wasnt that big afaik... then again neither is the wii. My cd32 was a pot luck find and was mint so I have kept it packed away. I always wanted to get an sx32pro for it but nowadays the prices are just stupidly high :(

EDIT: the latest modding fad is to fit a laptop drive into the a1200 case and from what ive seen there are some really good mods done.

Unlocked some cheat or other in the original game. Supposedly the programmers were Big Country (the band) fans.

God I'm sad :D
 
What was the 3D F1 sim called that came out shortly before Commodore went under? I remember it being crazy-good graphics for the time.

Couldn't find any good mod sites that weren't just text...

Seems a good mod was a hard drive, although i had one for the A1200 but can't for the life of me think what size... maybe it was 20MB? (!)
