Final Fantasy 8 on PSN now!

has any one else been getting freezing issues on battles in this?

i seem to get it crashing when enemies or my characters use certain abilities.

im trying to play through it on my psp with 5.50 gen.

edit : looks like it needs to be the latest firmware to work properly :( ah well guess ill try official for a while till i finish the game :)

The only issues I've noticed have been a bit of slowdown every now and then. Not too sure what's going on but it seems to clear up after a few mins.
 
ok so i downloaded 7 last night to my psp. damn what a long winded process of downloading and installing! (only on a 2mb line lol..)

it plays really well. only thing i notice is, the refresh rate on my psp doesn't seem that good..it is one of the very first psp's released. maybe its just me but it seems a little slow. doesn't really matter still a great game :)
 
Downloaded this on Sunday. Not had a chance to play it yet, plus I lent my PSP to my Mrs to play Little Big Planet. Will be getting that back tomorrow!

God I loved Rinoa so much, yet still lusted for the teacher with those glasses... I have that Eyes On Me song on mp3 somewhere too I think.

One odd thing I have noticed and not sure if anybody else has, is with the FFVII and FFVIII PSOne Classics, is that the menu box/dialog box/hand cursor/ATB Bar/Tifa & Cait Sith's Slot Limit Break animations and transitions are not as silky fast as the original retail PlayStation version. Maybe because these are emulated or it is down to TV screen refresh rate (Old CRT vs modern LCD?).
 
i am noticing a slight **** with ff8 on my ps3 with the controls that is not there on the psp with 6.20 fw.

although certain actions in battle cause it to kinda stutter for a second on the psp and i beleive thats the same bits that were crashing before when i was using 5.50 gen. (which im switching back to when im finished with the game)

Very underated in general, I honestly think this is my favorite FF game now. I played through it last year when I struggled with replaying 7.

Brilliant story IMO too.
 
its a pretty good game playing it right now and god knows how many times i played it before :)

the junction system takes the cookie though its is so easy to have over powered guys once you know how it works but then again so is the materia system in ff7 :)
 
Seifer, Cid, those men in her Timber organisation group thingy, Squall, she certainly gets around with the guys. :D

Oh yes there was that hilarious truck scene with Irvine in Disc 2 as well in relation to that desert prison.
