what films in the last deacde or so are future classics?

n1 Tummy, my daughter (11) watched Pans Labyrinth with me and even with subtitles she really enjoyed it which says a lot!!!

Most of the films I would consider to be future classics have already been mentioned, but I would have to add Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 to the list.

Best movie Oscar winners for last 10 years....
The movies that have won Best Picture over the last 10+ years are: (got via google so 2009/10 aint there

...
2006 THE DEPARTED
....

Personally I think Infernal Affairs is a much better film

IF we are going slightly off topic and talking about the Departed, it wasn't even his best work.

Pulp Fiction is already a classic.

Gladiator is a very good film, Indeed will probably be considered a classic.

Whilst the cinema release kind of ruined the film. The directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven was rather good, one of my favourite medieval period films.

Distinct lack of animation in this thread. Films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio and The Jungle Book are still loved as much today as they were 50/60 years ago so I see no reason why some, if not most, of Pixar's films won't be thought of just as highly in years to come.

Yeah no doubt in my mind that most of Pixar's films will, especially Up and Wall-E. I also think Coraline is absolutely brilliant.

High School Musical (i expect parents will be suffering it for decades)
District 9 (cult)
Wall-E (love this film)
Matrix (surely this is a classic already)

Trying to think of a superhero movie to list, there's been so bloody many, surely one!

One that's a bit unusual but might be considered a classic in the future would be Little Miss Sunshine - it's clever, it's quirky and I don't think it will date all that badly.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon also deserves a place as a classic martial arts epic which exposed Asian cinema to a wider audience again. For my money Hero or Fearless are slightly better and more enjoyable films but that's almost beside the point.
