*** Heavy Rain - Official Thread ***

I don't understand what this game is. From a clip I saw, you just wander around the place, and tap buttons at the right time when prompted on screen?

Have £54 on a gift card that will either be used on pre-owned games or this (due to hype) within the next couple of weeks.

Cripes. How strange. By signing up to that Heavy Rain 4-day thingy, I got an email from "Madison Page" linking to a Facebook account. The strangest thing - I also got an email from Facebook saying my deactivated account had been reactivated!! How nuts is that? I had to promptly log in and deactivate the damn thing again.

Its supposed to be ground breaking for games as it apparently gives virtually unlimited endings to the game. So you can play it over and over again in different ways. Most games have a scripted 5 or 6 endings but this one changes with even the slightest of alterations to the game.

Its not my cup of tea but my mate at work keeps going on about it :D

Is the demo out on PSN today? I'm in work from midnight tonight so I might haul the PS3 in and play it here :)

I don't know much about this game (on purpose) but to me it looks a lot like the type of gameplay of Shenmue, where you can just live in a "real" game world. Can't wait personally :D

Only problem I ran into in the Demo was right after I finished the Crime Scene, it locked up and started making a HORRIBLE noise through my speaker system. I was already tense from getting into the game that nearly gave me a heart attack!!

But that was at the end so I just turned the PS3 off. :p

Just tried the demo & have to say I gave up after 15 minutes - didn't like it at all.

Press X, press O, rotate the analogue stick clockwise......you knock on a door. Anologue stick up, you take your inhaler! Press X for a compassionate response....... Soooooo slow!

I do agree with an earlier post that said it seems just like a badly acted movie.

I could be proved wrong, but first impressions are not good. Shame, because I was really looking forward to this. :(

I think it is supposed to be like an interactive movie. I think its interesting but not my cup of tea. Going to try the demo at work later. Then I can give proper feedback.

I do like the idea that you can have multiple endings, but if the game itself is boring to play - what's the point?!!!!
