alloys

Some people just don't get eurostyling.

It really all depends whether you're planning to slam it. Personally i'd drop that 60 - 80mm, go for some schmidt th lines, wide ones, with stretched rubber.

the wheels will be like 1.5k if new.. if not more.. not sure on the prices... add coil-overs ~600 quid more.. add stretched (ye) rubber.. and you are nearing 3k.. thats much more than "just alloys"

if you are going for euro style.. get borbets or first of all lower the damn thing.. :P

This never understood why people remove the VW badge, unless of course it is now in use as a medalion!

I always find the ones taken off the smaller hatches look daft if they have a cut out in the bonnet to accomodate the badge that just looks stupid without the bagde imo. Not seen a single attempt to hide the cut out either (not that I know what the best approach would be for that)!

OP's Passat actualy looks really smart for what it is. The badge does need to go back on though. Also, why the sus? Not complaining :p just wondered.

You gotta spend money for the payoff, no point in going half arsed into these things.
Borbets aren't a bad idea if you're going for suttlety though.

Standard cars tend to suit OEM alloys far more than aftermarket ones. multispoke or heavily detailed wheels wouldn't look that good on that car as it's just too high and is otherwise standard (barring the grille).
Really needs an upsize to 18" and a little caress with the lowering stick. Athough the current wheels do suit it very well.

Some of the wheels that I've had:

B5 S4 17" reps

Genuine Audi B6 S4 18"

ASA ar1 8 & 9 x18", they only stayed on for a day as I just didn't like the look on the car.

Genuine Audi A8 parabol 18" (my current winter set)

Mirror polished parabol 18 (last years summer set)

My next set for this summer, BBS LM 8.5x18 custom painted centres with mirror polished rim

that Passat will look great on those BBS with your current ride height! can't help thinking that the spoiler kind of ruins the lines though.

£3k?

Just leave them as they are.. looks fine as it is

I think the only type of car I'd buy new alloys for would be an American muscle car

I really wanted a set of LM's for mine, but its simply too much money, i've already spent far too much on this car and i'm not going to drop another 1.5k on it by changing the wheels.

Needs some yellowstuff pads next, not a fan of the redstuffs.
