Left the tap on again!

Here is my effort, quite happy with the result, but still could be improved.

Good effort, non macro lens though im assuming?

Nice, would a Macro lens make a big difference to taking these sort of pictures?

Yes ;) both mine and famas pictures are taken with macro lens, mine with a Tamron 90mm F/2.8, famas with a Tokina 100mm F/2.8.

Have been trying this one out myself today (thanks Famas!), the Sigma 70-300 macro really isn't macro (I had to add on a 31mm Kenko tube to get as close as possible) but it served its purpose.

I'm going to have to investigate a cheap and cheerful macro lens for a Canon, does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers

Great captures, well done.

The Tamron 90mm is just over £250 at onestopdigital. It gets very good reviews.

You could probably get the Sigma 105mm and Tokina 100mm for a similar price second hand, they all perfor very well.

Canon do two types of 100mm as well.

Hehe, thanks! :)

Will check out those lenses now, £250 sounds a lot better than the £400 plus I've been seeing for the Canon models.

The trickiest part of the process is pressing the shutter at the right time, With a bit of patience you soon start to get the hang of it.

I notice your using a Nikon, therefore cant you use continuous shooting ?

I just tried it in the bathroom sink and completely failed, couldnt get the dripper to drip whilst taking the shot at the same time

My camera doesnt support remote trigger nor do I have a tripod atm :(
