what were you expecting?

Something other than, press X now!

This is a country mile away from the idea of an 'interactive movie' - and to be quite honest, I can't really see that ever working too well anyway.

Perhaps I was expecting a game as well! :p

The movement really irritated me in the demo, and i hope to god that there is some sort of mild jog in it or something, just walking everywhere makes it so boring for me.

After playing the demo for this not 5 minutes ago, first impressions are that it is a very very good game, however there are some criticisms. Its too slow paced and some of the movement is terrible. I also think some of the interactive parts are completely pointless and only there because its been a while since you actually did something (like putting a car in neutral despite the guy just driving up and parking all by himself).

Having said that though the fight sequence was amazing, i found myself panicking as i struggled to mash the correct button or twist the stick the correct way. The story looks interesting though and i cant wait to play it. However i wont be buying it, ill be renting it or borrowing it. The slow paced nature of the game wouldnt make me want to play it again (it annoys me too much), even though you can change the story with your actions, i dont think id want to sit through the whole game again for a slightly different way of telling it.

Its a purchase from me, but i feel its one of thoes games that i will complete then try again at a much later date when i forgot about most of the game to keep it fresh.

Having played the demo this morning it's a very novel game to play, I only got to the sleazy place :D, talked to her for a few minutes and turned it off as I do not wish to spoil too much.

I can see it being a great experience, but one I would only play through maybe once or twice.

I thought the pacing and atmosphere was brilliant. Feels like an interactive movie to me. I love the QTE control method..its far far better than just pressing X to do a random action (see fahrenheit or indeed dragons lair). Theres more depth to it. e.g. the bit where you climb the mudhill and the button presses required, really liked how it was implemented.

The only tiny concern for me is : Availablity of Real Choices. I like a lot of freedom in how the story plays out. I want to be able to choose to have my character (e.g. the private eye) to get himself killed infront of for instance a train and have it reported in the news the next day. Even better you could see or read about it as the NEXT playable character (e.g. the FBI dude).

Hoping there is not a lot of repetition in scripted scenes. But there might be just because of the amount of work involved.

i realy enjoyed it, its different to what i would normally play but i do like the crime scene mystery story line stuff, i wont be buying on release though il wait till its a bit cheaper.

Just played the demo. Yes, yes, yes. I knew it would be a qte heavy game, however if the rest of it is as engaging as the demo I know I won't regret my pre-order.

interesting demo, looks amazing but the voicework really put me off, it feels so forced and unnatural

Only voice work I had a problem with was the chick (forgot her name) in Scott's scenario, her face didn't seem to emote in some parts of the conversation. I thought the rest looked pretty good!

Tried the demo this weekend and it's better than I expected. Only fault I could even find was that the fight didn't change enough in my opinion between when your failing and when your winning. I wanted to be slapped around different parts of the room depending on parts I miss and hit the button presses. Other than that though it was very fun and I like the way the button presses are more interesting than usual games where you just tap the circle button once then the triangle button.
