Yeah, you know what? Lets let the illiterate off with everything because after all, they can't read, so they can't understand the rules of anything.
What about dyslexics, they cant necessarily read a warning sign, although they could understand a skull and cross-bones. Did the farmer think of putting anything like that up.
Setting up a minefield or other deterrant is fine by me as long as it is difficult to intrude onto the land that has been set with traps. Signs alone don't always serve their purpose.
A little extreme but I'm sure it works!
