Command And Conquer Tiberium Sun + Expansion now Freeware

While I had some problems getting the actual website to load (Getting hammered I'd assume), the game downloaded perfectly fine, and it works great under win7 64-bit, though I do have UAC disabled. Windowed mode is pretty much useless though unless you set your desktop to 16-bit, so you have to play fullscreen. Editing the sun.ini gets you any resolution you like. And naturally, it doesn't need a CD to be in the drive, the .rar you download is the entire game. Just extract it to wherever you want it and run game.exe, it loads and asks if you want Vanilla or Firestorm.

As for playing online, see this: http://na.llnet.cnc3tv.ea.com/u/f/eagames/cnc3/cnc3tv/TibSunFreeware_install.html

Small note, the .reg file assumes you install it to c:\program files\ea games\Command & Conquer The First Decade
If you install it anywhere else (Including progam files (x86)) you'll need to edit the reg file accordingly.

Do you mean The First Decade? I have a few of the old games on their own.

Ah right. I tried to get the originals to work when EA released them some time ago. But instead of removing the CD checking from the game (which, let's face it, is pointless when the game is freeware) - they just lumped them up on the site and let people bother with burning disks and all that hassle.

I've been fiddling with that registry file but I still get the same error about missing DLLs.

The reg file is only needed to play online. Could it be a download that cut off before the end? The .rar file for me was 1,334,180,630 bytes. If its not, redownload?

Also, tried running as an administrator?

Vista or 7? Try running it under XP compatibility mode, that's what I had to do to make it work.

Under 7 x64.

Didn't manage it in the end, had to find and install TFD. Just kept giving DLL errors.

HAha works fine on w7 and yea the cutscenes work sr4470
