Baby P's stepfather scalded by a so called 'napalm' bomb

May have been mentioned already but I always find the idea of one prison inmate taking the moral high ground over another to the point of violence amusing.

If they're in prison, they're hardly the model citizen anyway, plus a complete moron for getting caught plus the fact that they're resorting to violence over some kid they didn't know which shows they're just mentally unstable. Talk about lowering the standards of justice...

LEADING QUESTIONS ARE AWESOME

Hardly a leading question based on the chap I quoted. Nice use of caps lock btw.

Ok let me rephrase.

Based upon the honorable posters statement - One of the fundamental things that elevates us as a species is the sense and application of justice, rather than bestial revenge.

What are your views on the fact that most of Africa and the Middle East, and also the majority of South America appear to not follow this rule?

That is a large proportion of the populous of human beings on this planet is it not?

so are you saying someone who robbed a jewellery store is of the same moral standing as someone who rapes and tortures children?

Man image how ****ed up this world would be if everything was that black and white.

You may be taking Gackt a little too literally there. I would assume his statement reflects the human ability to rise above violence and revenge as a form of justice. Just because some societies do not does not make them another species at all. But as humans they are more than capable.

That is a fair comment but again I state that it is my belief that the majority of people on this planet choose not to rise above violence and revenge as a form of justice.

I would say it is only North America, Autralasia and Europe who follow this, as sad as it may seem.

I would disagree. Large chunks of South America at least try to have a decent legal system as do quite a few parts of Asia. Not all of africa is lawless either.

Is this what the attacker is guilty of? Or just an appeal to emotion?

You strongly implied that all prisoners are of the same m oral standing.

As such there are bound to be robbers in jail so it's a perfectly reasonable comparison.

If i was going to an appeal to emotion (which even by this is a very long stretch and doesn't really apply, you're just copying dolph poorly) I would have gone for The old woman who was jailed for not paying a council tax rise she could not afford.

No I didn't and how would that be applicable to justifying vigilante attacks anyway?

The same jail as a 'kiddie' murderer? They just put petty robbers in the same cells...

No, the appeal to emotion part was refering to your child rapist and murderer statement. It's amusing how (in general, not you) reactionary people get about crimes against kids, as if it could happen to anyone and it isn't actually very rare.

I don't give a damn what this guy has done and the person who assaulted him could be in for similarly bad offences if he's able to commit this act.

Never said it justified them just that there is a huge moral scale.

Because that's what he did?

If I'd have said " mugger" it wouldn't really be relivent would it?

You think they built an entirely separate jail for a murderers compared to armed robbers?

nvm

Clearly not but I'd love to know how they build enough prisons to have one child murderer in each one and everyone else in there just stole some jewelry from Argos.

A bit of natural justice.

There is a special place in Hell reserved for people like him and i'm glad to see it starts before he gets there.

According to the Bible God is a forgiving God, you don't know what will happen. It is the old saying, let he who i without sin cast the first stone, hence we rely on our laws of justice to help us decide.

Can someone remind me & others what the inclusion of sugar does? I know it makes it a lot worse I jsut cannot recall why.

I'd imagine the boiling point of sugar solution would be higher as well as sticking to the skin so it would do more damage.

We like to think of ourselves as enlightened, as intelligent and yet there are still a large proportion of us who would deny a person a second chance. Who would gladly support and watch people being tortured, killed, and raped. People who think that revenge = justice. People who are so emotionally affected by everything, that they allow those emotions to rule them, rather than applying logic and reason.

Some people do things so wrong they don't deserve any kind second chance and don't deserve to live in my opinion. This scum bag is one of them.

Sometimes a second chance is just too risky to be given blindly.

Hence the indeterminate sentences.
