The "Real Rooms" Gallery

Er, in the process of decorating so I'm using my laptop hooked up to the screen/telly for the minute. The power of my Atom n270 overclocked to 1.77ghz :D

Yay someone else with some speakers! What model are they? and how do you like the sound? I'm looking for some slightly smaller speakers for my setup...

The S30 and S90 (sub to the right) are pretty good for their size, particularly for the price however they definitely lack bass. I used to sell them :p

I've got one of those magic cleaners also, does yours do laundry and stuff?

Really versatile aren't they, shame they cost so much to run and maintain. Still I wouln't be without one.

this is pretty much as bad as it will get, i do wanna move room around and sort things out but the width you see is pretty much the size of my room so not much to play with.
dont know wat im gonna do wen i get the 24" screen !!!

My tiny box room room, barely longer than a single bed! :(

There's also clothes, shoes and towels scattered across the floor...

I don't know how you can have your mouse on a high level than your keyboard, i used to have it like that and it annoyed me so much, had to get rid of the desk.

I have speakers! They're just hidden behind my monitors unfortunately. Two small satellites and a sub (made of wood not cheapo plastic) by creative (i-trigue 3300) which I've been really happy with for a good 5/6 years. Still available some places
Well a 2.1 type system takes up much less room on a desk. I'm kind of fussy however, I'm not really keen on using a 2.1 system for the PC as the sub is further away from your ears to the sounds reach your ears at different times...

Cheers, I'll do a little googling, I'm after some bookshelves which go down to 40Hz ideally. :)

Have a look at the Dali Lektor 1s, tiny, sound really nice (you won't get 40hz, but it's a size limitation so no speaker that size will). They're ugly with the covers off though.

Well mine started off upstairs in my room.

Then me and the girlfriend had a chat and decided to make the downstairs spare room into a games room and the bedroom purely a bedroom. This is when i decided to build my new subwoofer.

The sound from the centre speaker was also a bit squiffy due to the fireplace feature so i built an AV rack type thing.

I was also thinking the screen was a little small now we were watching loads of movies so here it is now.

Second pic has some things on the table in front of the chair, not giant size ketchup!

a lot of folk say that to me! always had my keyboard on runners, just got used to it after years of playing that way!

They are Cambridge audio s30's they are a great sounding pair of speakers I also use the matching s90 subwoofer, they are excelent with all kinds of music they sound realy punchy, bass isnt great If you like bassy music id advise the subwoofer but they have excelent midrange and trebble, voices very realistic. They are £150 from Richer Sounds, What hifi gave them 5 stars, They also do the s20's which are a bit smaller
