Yes, middle lane hogs drive me mad. The Police used to be pretty sharp at pulling them over and giving them a talking to, but I guess there are less traffic units to do that sort of enforcement these days.

If you ever drive in Germany where the lane discipline is superb, it's particulalrly annoying to return home and constantly over take idiots sat in Lane 2 on Cruise Control

Well my engine is yea, and I have electric seats and wood!

...also I have owned 2 BMW's ...but mine is not immaculate like Fox's, his is probably the nicest example of the E39 on the roads today.

i dont understand what the problem with middle lane hoggers is

Theres always an outside lane to overtake them if you dont agree with what speed they are doing.

In the outside lane maybe, cos you cant get past them without performing an illegal undertaking manovre. but middle lane hoggers dont even register on my radar at all.

The problem is that they are sitting in the middle lane when the inside lane is empty. Much like the contents of the middle laner users head, I should imagine.

What sort of a dunderhead just spends his trip sat in the middle lane when the inside lane is clear? These people should be on the bus.

I'm with fox on this one, their stupidity annoys me.

It's not so bad if the road is empty, but when it's busy I end up in the outside lane to pass them, they're inevitably the sort that wont maintain a constant speed and I end up with some moron up my trumpet.

Even when the road is clear, I still need to move across 2 lanes and back again to pass them, which is annoying

If they knew how to use a motorway they would know to be in the inside lane meaning I wouldn't have to move across 2 lanes, overtake them, and then back across 2 lanes, its a pain.
