RAM drain since graphic card upgrade

Your O/S is limiting the abount of ram you can use. Your card counts towards the amount of memory a 32bit O/S can see, and so cuts the amount of RAM on your MB.

Only way round is to upgrade to a 64 bit O/S or to be unrealistic you can ditch your card.

wtf if its only a 512 card, then something is definatly wrong. Thought you were xfire'ing 2 cards or something.

As mentioned, you could have knocked the ram and its no longer sitting in there right.

well i had a bit of an issue earlier today with the ram, i got a new power supply too, was kinda fiddley to connect to the MOBO so took the ram out..

anyways, the pc wouldnt boot until after i found out that it was one stick of ram that was stopping it.. seemed to boot up fine after slotting them all back in this morning

could it still show the amout of actual ram even though its been knocked out? thought it would just not reconise it completely

ouch... took um out, put um back in = BScreen! lol

sorted tho, one 512 card is naffed.. System shows 3GB in with all in use now, looks like im shoppin for more parts lol

cheers for the help guys!
