So Peter Molyneux...

Ask him why after 1997 with Dungeon Keeper he stopped making decent games and started making overly complicated garbage that wasn't even vaguely fun.

Ask him if he still considers himself as a relevant game developer when in the last 10 years he hasn't created a single decent game, with them all being driven into the floor by insisting upon including the whole Good vs Evil garbage into his game that:
a) is never implemented in a useful or remotely meaningful way other than extremely facile and easy to manipulate game mechanic.
b) is implemented at the complete cost of every other aspect of the games, mainly content and fun.

Not that I particularly dislike him, but he went from the 90s, making insanely great games; Populous, Powermonger, Syndicate, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper. To the naughties were his games are all awful, none of them having any challenge or much to do which ultimately undermines any attempt to have fun.

This.

Though I did quite enjoy the B&W games, they sucked compared to his earlier masterpieces and were ultimately a massive disappointment after the extreme hype.

Official reviews really don't mean that much especially when they seem to be tossed together in a few hours before the game got launched. Gta4 for example got amazing reviews yet after the second day playing it a lot of people were getting incredibly bored of it. Both black and white games suffered from frustrating gesture systems which mr ego put into the game because people thought dungoen keeper had too many icons, and he wanted to prove he could make a game without icons to an extent.

Ask him if he can deal with a minority of people not enjoying his games :p

But seriously, Tell him Fable needs a bad guy path in it, that is actual evil and not a slight variation from the good.

Bad guys do not fight to save the world from other bad guys -_-

He may suffer from aiming too high on games like Fable and B&W but he's one of the few game designers out there who is genuinely passionate about what he's doing, he wants to try something different and gets excited about it, granted it falls on it's face half the time, but he's definitely got determination and willpower, and I can respect him for that, especially as a professional within the games industry.

hrm... maybe I'll just ask him for a job. :p

We apparently get a chance to show him around our lab (class of 20 so just a few of us there) and demo some of our stuff if we want. I wish I had something decent to show him, I don't think he'll be that interested in my "yet around terrain engine" thing.

It belongs here:

well ask him about removing XP/health bars in fable 3 as his reasoning seems flawed "The absolute main reason is that most people didn't really understand it," as I don't quite see how a "followers system" is more easy to understand for new players and old players alike. but points for trying something different.
