Cadwell Park Trackday - Saturday 21st February - ONLY £99 !!

I understand how an open pitlane works, but without knowing the track limit, and the day limit, I've no way of figuring out whether its worth it.

If there are 100 cars there, 25 on track and 15 minute sessions, you're waiting 45 minutes a time :/

I've done 10 OPL days. The absolute maximum amount of time I've had to wait was 10 minutes at Bedford. We did OPL at Cadwell in March last year and I never had to wait more than once for traffic. There is no way in hell you'll have to wait for 45 mins.

The tracks are also particularly quiet at this time of year.

I actually dont get this... I've done 7 trackdays and my only issue has been I had a puncture last time I went to Cadwell, and I needed to get new brakes after a day at Bedford (100% my fault for pushing too hard for too long)

I havn't ever seena nyone book tyres brakes and clutch in 1 go... however I did see an M6 get towed off after less than an hour with SMG gearbox failure once :o:D

Front brake disc's and pads are on the way out, the calipers need a refurb (i'm refurbing a spare set atm).

It's an evo with between 320 and 380lb/ft of torque depending on what boost I run, so that has an obvious effect on tyres. Evo's are reknowned for eating clutches.

How does that grab ya? :p

Tyres too low otherwise i could have been tempted.

105dB too, could have stuck the Js Racing exhaust on :D

Anglesey 6th of August for £75? :D

Anglesey is worth the trip, they really did a good job there and it's grippy as hell and one of the best views if you peel your eyes off the line.

It does depend on the car to a degree though. I refuse to add up what I spent on pre/post track inspections, fluids and rubber last year.

Won't happen and the track limit changes depending on noise levels, circuit etc, Goodwood can be a bit of a wait but most people go home happy. If you've never been, you might be better off on a sessioned day first.

Im booked up and paid up for it as at that price it was way too cheap to ignore!

It was only the first 10 bookings though so might be gone now. £75 is normally the reserve of winter trackdays when its freezing cold. :D

Its probably the second closest track to myself too so I wont have to stop over, just an early start.

My girlfriend can admire the view out the window as she wants to come along :o

Id love to come, ive just about half stripped the 328, but Cadwell is a bit of a advanced track for me yet. I've got Elvington booked on the 14th March to have to get used to RWDness off it in relative safety, before i get onto any proper tracks.

(Conanius from NickXX's account) Just arrived now and onto the local ales :D

Forcast was snow, then in a blip it was sun all day .... and now its back to sleet from 12:00 onwards.

Either way, looking good so far :D

I was at Cadwell On Friday, what an absolutely superb day I had too.

Cadwell is such a good circuit, nice and twisty which suited my Integra down to the ground. Te noise limit was 105 and I crept in at 102 with my reasonably quiet Tanabe exhaust.

I'll post some pictures and videos when I get my hosting sorted later on today.

So.

Cancelled due to snow, an hour to get from the paddock to the circuit complex entrance, tow eye snapped in half by a tractor pulling me out, transit with an mgbv8 on the back rolled it blocking the only main road route, and 3 hours to do 15 miles....

All in all ... Hope to be home by midnight

Engagement has been taken care of. I don't expect to be in any fit state to get to Cadwell tomorrow though :p

Congratulations to you both! :)

Been home about an hour now. Had an interesting day drifiting, rescuing spins, sliding uncontrollably and being towed out by tractors. Shame none of it was on the track!

Javelin have been good enough to refund us, so will have another go later in the year!
