Packaging & Delivery - Packaging wasnt anything fancy. Typical polystyrene and this cloth thing over the monitor to protect it. It did its job, no scratch nothing so ill rate it 7/10 :)

Contents - There was a supplied VGA cable what was connected to the monitor when i it out from the polystyrene. Comes with a usermanual and a CD of some sort. Probly just a digital version of the user manual. Ofcourse there was the monitor itself :D, stand and power adapter.

This is a pic of the back of the monitor. As you can see theres only 2 connections but the one you should use is the DVI. The dvi cable i ordered fitted perfectly. Wasnt a extremely tight fit (like other monitors iv experianced) or a to loose fit. Its also plane and simple but be warned you can indent the plastic. Its not that strong at the back so be careful.

Other than the ugly pic of a guy in the stand, the stand looks pretty good. Prone to finger print, pretty strong and when its connected and holding the monitor there are no wobbles. I doubt a hurricane can blow this over, it feels that stable!

As you can see it looks pretty small in this pic. But i took it to show you what it looks like what it comes out.

First bootup. I was expecting to play around with the settings a little but as soon as i plugged it in i was gob smacked by the quality (my stupid blackberry storm doesnt show that). No set up needed. Plug and play basically. In person it looks a lot bigger trust me. Pictures dont do it justice. Now time to set it up on my desk :) no dead pixels or large cracks so no returns :D MY MONITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All set up on my desk. The monitor on the right is a 17inch. I thought it was 19inch but when i moved it i saw the note on the back saying 17. So theres a difference between a 17inch and a 24inch widescreen :) not much difference is there?

Ok after about 30mins of useing the monitor im loving it so far. Its going to get abit of getting used to from jumping from a 17inch to 24inch. Im going to start playing my favorite games in a min after iv been to the shops for some bread and fish. Oh cba ill play games now after iv wrote this. The 1920x1080 resolution gives me a lot more desktop room so now its time to fill it up. Just icons alone will take up the rest of 400gb of my hd lol. Images im gunna have to convert a lot because of there resolution. a lot of squares on the pics of the 2010 f1 cars :( doesnt look good. For £155 this monitor is the dogs ********. High resolution, good contrast ratio, NO GHOSTING!!!! ((had a quick game of bf bc2) and its got the looks. Bezels are small so maybe in a few months ill order another one or two. Any questions please ask :) i just wanna play games!

That's great news regarding no ghosting! So I take it you don't get blurry images? Can you try watching a movie where there a slowish panning shot goin either left or right? Thanks :)

Any signs of backlight bleed on the screen? (ie colours or blacks being greyer around the inner edge of the four sides than the middle)

has the non-LED version been discontinued now? its gone from the web site :(
is the general consensus that these LED versions are better than the non-LED equivelant?

Just bought 3 x these monitors for eyefinity setup (with Active Displayport adaptor), should be arriving tomorrow. I'll get some pic's up etc as soon as its setup...

Panel quality is more important to be honest. Just don't spend too much for LED. Perhaps ocuk were making more sales of LED and did not want to order too much CCFL-lit screens because they could not sell them as quick as the other. Who knows?

powdaman, will be interesting to see...

I did find that when games load where it shows oyu adverts etc there abit blurry.
Just watched a harry potter movie to see if it was ok and the slow pans seem to be fine :) everything is bright and clear

i read that a lot of people are suffering from this...i did until i move the screen so its tilted back a tiny bit. When im looking at the screen im kinda sitting looking down at it., because of the bad viewing angle this will make it darker around the edges. Iv just tiled it back abit and its solved that :)

even though its barely noticeable....took me a good hour or so to notice it (you only notice on white things)
