The Brits 2010 *Spoilers*

Only positive I can see from it is Lady Gaga, regardless if you like her or not, she writes her own stuff and doesn't give a hell about what anyone thinks of her. I have a lot of respect for her for that. She's also a great performer.

Why wasn't Muse, Jamie T or Mumford and Sons nominated for album of the year?

Indeed, nowadays it seems there is underground, mainstream and IN YOUR FACE artists.

I don't care, I know I enjoy what I listen too. I always intrigue my mates when I stick a track on and they've never heard of the artists.

I seek new music because there is so much unappreciated talent out and abouts.

Modern major labels are more concerned with keeping shareholders happy and quarterly profits than signing genuinely talented musicians which are seen as risky.

This results in the bland music that is on the radio during the day, where the main goal is to stop you from changing station so you end up hearing the commercials...

LOL @ P Kay "Lady Gaga has been nominated in just about every category except Best Male and even that was close."

and after Cheryl Cole, "Cheryl Cole there with Fight for this love, never a truer word spoken"

I loved GaGa's piano and actual singing a song thing. Didn't have a clue were it was going and didnt quite work for the event as it was just 12 year old teeny poppers who dont have a clue (i gathered its tribute/mourning to mcqueen) but she has an awesome soulful voice when she actually sings and doesnt talk in a song. Hope she releases more singing songs in the future and less electro-pop. I must admit she is abit of a guilty pleasure for me haha.

Peter Kay had a few good lines, but most of his jokes were wasted on the crowd who had no idea who any people from the 80's or even 90's were as they were so young and just wanted to see JLS.

The show overall was terribly cringe worthy, what was wossy doing? It wasnt funny at all, looked like he lost the plot. Looked like your dad trying to be cool and making an epic fail. The most horrific miming/lip sync from Cheryl Cole, ok you did a big dance routine but your meant to be a singer so i dunno... maybe sing?

I'm glad Florence won, shes putting a lot more refreshing music out rather than terrible pop or hippop that seems to pollute the charts, and I'm glad shes made it. The duet with dizzee rascal worked well, a decent performance. Also glad for Lilly Allen, her current album is decent and has some really good songs. Kasabian was a surprise win but im happy they won.

Just thought the whole thing was rather cringeworthy from start to finish.

Peter kay was ok when he came up with a couple of one liners but when reading from the autocue it was dire.

Dont usually agree with what Chris Moyles has to say but by god he was bang on the money this morning, he said "Some of the worst production he has ever seen and the guest presenter booker wants shooting"

Thought Jay-z and Alicia keys were great and was also impressed with Kasabian too, everything else was mediocre at best.

I'm only 22 and I already feel hugely out of tune with pop 'music'. God knows how detached I'll feel in 30 years. I find it staggering most of these current artists are adored, truly staggering. Maybe it's me (it must be, they're pop stars and millionaires). Has the taste of the man in the street plumetted recently? I really dread the next generation and being here to see what they do.

What a cracking night of entertainment, heres my little review.

Liam Gallagher is a ******. Didn't deserve to win the scummy little rat, hasn't contributed nothing to the music industry. Scum.

This little Ellie girl already gets a brit and shes released one single that came out last week? She has an annoying face and an annoying song.

Dizzy and Florence was absolutely slap-tastic. Best performance of the night.

Congrats to Lady Gaga who deserved every single award, you could tell how much it meant, she had one of the best albums of the last decade, if not the best. Although she should have just stayed on the piano for the whole performance.

Johnathan Ross was absolutely hilarious, I feel sorry for his kids though. Can't believe he's leaving the BBC. He is one of the funniest people around at the moment.

Glad to see no-one mimed the whole night apart from Cheryl. Surely she would have been told in her ear piece she was a whole second out of sync.

Robbie was terrific, absolutely astounding.

Good to see real musicians in the show instead of guys like Muse, Metallica, Jamie T and Mumford. Shame Kasabian were there aswell to put a downer on things.

But the thing I am most confused about is Best British Single? I am utterly bewildered, yes bewildered that Joe McElderry (pictured below) didn't win. I am devastated for him.*

She's a fantastic dancer and performer, the last thing she should be doing is staying on the piano...

I feel sorry for you
