Currently looking to upgrade my XFX 8800GT 512MB. Price range would be £100-£140. Any advice?

P.S. Would prefer 2 DVI and 1 HDMI connections on the card

Yep definitely 5770...unless Nvidia's soon to release GPUs can meet the price range but deliver much better performance...

I'm convinced Nvidia's Fermi are going to perform better than the current ATI5000 range (let's be honest, if we put the support for DirectX 11 aside, 5770 is more or less around the same performance as 4890...hack, it is slower than it, and 5850/5870 is just marginal step up in speed/performance comparing to 4870x2), but I'm not so convinced that they would be affordable to the mid-price range.

That's a pretty safe bet coming out 6-9months after the 5 series.

Lucky for the 5770 its goal isn't to replace the 4890, nor was the 5870's job to replace the 4870x2. You've missed the point mate :)

I would also go for the 5770, however my mate recently ordered the XFX 5770 XXX Edition and in the end the order had to be cancelled because OcUK did not actually have any and are not getting any for a few months...

I spose you could also go for the GTX 260, however with that you lack the DX11 Support :)
