I went to West Indian Centre for the first time on saturday for Riff Raff 10th birthday to see Proteus, Ashen Project and Inland Knights. Amazing club with a great feel to it, it felt more like a community actually than a club.

My next venture to there will be on 27th Feb for Sunrise (Psy Trance)

and the next Metropolis that there
 
various ones. used to go when i was younger because its where mates went. glad we all saw sense really

i guess it would be allright for a one off event if someone you wanted to see was on but id still much rather see them somewhere else

round here its pretty much regarded as a hellhole by most

must have had atleast 20 ''closing parties'' before re opening a month later too

Oh yeh, thats right. It was Chris (?) i think who didnt end up going. I'll look into the weekender. Did you do fantasy lands....Wheres Dave? -what the hell

Again I don't know what you mean as the layout was spot on for the type of music we were there to hear, big dancefloor, dj booth at a height, balcony all around and crash our areas.

Sound would probably be down to preference but I never heard anything bad there, guess it comes down to personal taste tho.

Tall Trees still about? I used to go like 10 or more years ago, I never really liked it that much tbh

Never liked Turnmills, so wasn't sad to see it shut down.

Niiiceee, I nearly went myself. Last time Proteus played there he broke his arm mid-set and still carried on!

lol. Ive seen him 8 times now i think and spoke to him for the first time on sat. Some DJs are total nobs but he's is a top guy.

Its a pitty I was out for a mates leaving do and drank way too much in town, then cant remember much until around 3am when someone told me i was in the wrong room and proteus was on in the other! (i had a proteus Tshirt on) I caught the last half of his set then carried on going strong until close. He joined the crowd after his set and had a dance :)
