Thats fine mate, like I said sorry I could'nt find you a better deal. Might be worth contacting the seller though and asking for a few more photos etc, no bids and only 2 days left ... might be a bargin

doesnt really matter now, i just found some more extra cash and i can spend up to 80, considering new options now i guess. new options include the creative sound blaster arena that had very good reviews everywhere and roccat kave 5.1 also sennheiser 555 although it doesnt have a mic, any other good headsets around for about 80 quid?

Don't worry about having a Mic thats not located on your headset.

I play far too many games and there's no real difference, no need to limit yourself with headsets that only have Mic's on :)

You might be able to pick up a X-Fi for £30 aswell if you shop around

narrowed it down to creative sound blaster arena and sennheiser 555's
-does the 555's really have better sound quality than the creative's?
thats the question it comes down to :) since even though the sennheisers dont have a mic, they are open and i prefer that over closed so the adv. disadv. balance each other out

in order to get an x-fi aswell ill need to spend 50 quid for earphones and, i got only 1 week to buy em (cannot get from abroad) and dont want it already used.

i guess if i buy the 555's i can buy a sound card in the summer, or i can get the creative sound blaster arena which has a usb connection. but if i do get the usb connection version i wont be able to use it on my mp3 player :S

choices choices choices...

One of the best headsets is the G35 but a smidge over your budget, but I would recommend stretching to it.

cannot noway stretch to it. only allowed up to 75 lol i can spend up to 85 and blame it on the "postage" :D ive seen in reviews that the creative is as good as the logitech g35 but without the extra adjustable stuff.

Kave 5.1

I own the Roccat Kave from the 1st of December. In general it is a good product, clear sounds and yes 5.1 support although I checked it only with mass effect 2. It comes however with several disadvantages:

1. It is heavy and it needs extra effort to get used to.
2. Its woofer is not loud enough.
3. The vibration UNIT does not work except in the demo of the roccat company.
4. NO good NOISE CANCELLATION. I CAN HEAR THE TV IN THE FIRST FLOOR OF MY HOUSE AND THE PC ROOM IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR.
