Catalyst 10.2

wtf

after installing these new drivers, my cards start heating sooon as i turn computer on.. i.e. not idle-ing properly.

i have to turn the fans up quickly

is there a fix to this?

Strange theres no mention of the crossfire issue with the clocks changing on one card, this has been like this the last two sets of drivers and all the hotfix drivers since the official 9.12's

Makes me wonder if ati are aware of the problem at all.

oh well stick to the 9.12's for another month

Well hopefully this will resolve the grey screen issue with my 5770 - as apparently it has been fixed.

EDIT: Not a good start. The release notes say "Display will now enter power saving mode correctly," but this is not working under Win 7. I really hoped this simple issue would have been fixed as it was working fine with the 9.12s. :(

EDIT2: Is it just the Sapphire 5770s that are not idling properly ? My ASUS is now stuck at 400/900 irrespective of desktop/gaming. Also, dxdiag reports that this driver is not WHQL certified ?

DXDiag is wrong for some reason. Device manager says Microsoft has signed them.

The guys with problems should try re-installing their drivers but follow the instructions in the below link first.

http://www.addictivetips.com/window...tomatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/

That will stop windows auto installing an older driver as soon as you remove the drivers.

Go to Device Manager and remove your display drivers from there, then go to add or remove programs and express uninstall all ATI software, do not reboot. Delete the ATI folder at C: and run a reg cleaner like CCleaner, if you are believer in Driversweepers (I'm not.) run that too.

Reboot, if you've followed the instructions in the link right Windows & should boot in VGA mode with absolutely NO drivers installed fresh as a daisy. Reverse the changes you made in following the link and install your new drivers on a completely from scratch basis.

If you don't follow the instructions in the link, Windows will always auto install any old driver it finds when you remove older drivers so if you use sweepers you will be removing files Windows thinks should be installed and causing corruption.

Going forward you should be ok to install over the top, but be aware if you use beta drivers that have a later driver number than the officials you will have to uninstall drivers first using the above method as the install manager will deem you up to date and not install anything.

Causing my 5770 to crash in games - thin black and white stripes down the screen, sound loops.

Back to 9.12s once more.

cheers will give them a go tonight before i do the reinstall, see if i can get a stable system with some drivers without GSOD rather than having to reinstall everything!

no problems so far with these, installed them as part of my xfire upgrade. AVP in dx11 doesnt work with them but I dont think anyones got that working

These installed ok for me over top of 10.1. Slight improvement on Unigine demo from 25.2fps to 25.6fps (WOW!)at 1920 X 1080 fullscreen 8XAA. Still waiting for the BIG improvement with drivers for the 5770's.:(

Temps on both cards seem to have dropped 2-3c. Now idling at 33c and 31c.

Since ive installed in these drivers, one of my cards powerplay doesn't kick so I have to keep disabling/enabling crossfire everytime i boot my pc to sort it out. :(

EDIT: nope apparently that doesnt work :/ back to the old drivers then!!

That was the case with previous (10.1 ) drivers for me:

Main card = 157mhz 300 memory
Second card = 240mhz 975 memory.

Still the same with these drivers.:(
