About to try since client update and a RAM upgrade (2->6 - yes i know i'm on XP )

I've not decided yet. I looked at a couple of hosts but in the past I've mostly just ran servers on my own dedi so aside from remembering that Inx are bad, my experiences with hosting providers isn't amazing.

£35-45, depending on where we get them from. Obviously that could be split amongst everyone that 'went in' on the server.

I was contemplating buying a quad-core and thought my E6600 was showing it's age because it's was running like a dog. I'm happy I held back and it was just some CPU/GPU optimisations that DICE needed to carry out after all

lol at prices i can near enough pay that for my quad box rental . bit too steep for one server when you can get cod 4 servers for like a third of the price . yes its not cod 4 but a game server is a game server makes it like 1quid a slot lol.

I agree completely. I'm paying not far off that for a decent quad core server rental.

It's a complete joke that we can't host our own servers for it, but it's a good game and this is a large community so if a few of us paid towards something it wouldn't be too expensive.

Which edition of the game doesn't matter, what matters is where you order from. Some places simply don't give out beta keys. I dont know about other stores but play.com and steam both give out beta keys.
