Well, after long consideration im leaving my beautiful Gretsch behind and moving forward to a birch/bunbinga kit by Tama with hyperdrive toms, which fits my style beautifully, its a limited edition Red Garnett Sparkle i was unsure of the colour at first but its grown a lot of me, and to my suprise one of six in the UK :)

I go in later today to sort payment and hardware bits etc, gettin a tad excited!

Its all here its all in my hardcases, Gretsch gone! and i bought a new ride cymbal too :) nope im mixed hardware, its all Tama hardware for the shells, and pearl for the cymbals etc!

the kit is:

Tama Starclassic Performer B/B (Bubinga/Birch) in Red Garnett, Glass Effect
BassDrum:
22" x 20" undrilled bass drum
Toms:
10" x 6.5"
12" x 7"
Floortoms:
14" x 12"
16" x 14"
Snaredrum:
13" x 6"

I'll set it up tomorrow for piccys :)

Dont be dissing gretsch! :(, as gretsch are superb, but it was time for something new, and something that will improve my playing, and the shallowness of the toms will do that, and i wanted a bubinga kit!

some of our next shows coming up, we'll be recording as an album, so we'll release that once its ready, until then fella, i dont get to play at home, as its too loud, only time i play is when were gigging which is pretty much every week, and also practicing!
 
Wow that's gorgeous. The sparkle is a lot more understated than I was expecting, and is really classy. I'm sure it'll really 'bounce' under gig lighting :) Gorgeous kit!

its all packed down now, yeah i think when you say "Sparkle" people think cheap and tacky etc, but ive had nice lacquer fade on my old gretsch, but i wanted something new i did want a sparkle fade, but ive fallen in love with this now, its like a deep red, glass effect almost, well you can see from the pictures, im dead chuffed :)
