Can you buy better?

However I think I quite like these. Anyone else think they are a bit too "round"

I thought this, especially at the front. It's "in your face" in traditional VXR fashion, which some like. Having said that, i don't think it's as shouty as the Vectra VXR.

Yep its great value. No I cant find anything cheaper thats equivalent and new.

/thread termination now recommended

Shock as Vauxhall is really cheap and that better cars cost more. In other news, it was discovered today that water is wet.

Shock as an Lamborgini Murciélago cost more than a Vauxhall VXR, today I discovered the snow is white.

yup and its still better

 i think you're just digging a hole here.

Obviously the BMW and Audi variants would be better, but the Evo and others seem to really like the Insignia VXR. Plus, it's not £2 cheaper than the German rivals - it's £10,000!

FFS, there are so many idiots that cannot comprehend the simple questions posed by a thread.

We're clearly talking about 2010 cars, its ****ing annoying when people say - wow thats expensive, when you could buy this car thats X years older for the same money.

By that theory, why does anyone by a new 3 series when they can have a 355 for the same money?

I don't think you will find as much car for the money as an Insignia VXR when you consider the age.

Now you've got to be trolling :p

I'm not! I was browsing PH classifieds as I’m looking to buy a new car and I came across this, I though hmmmm ok £25k for a 2010 performance car is good and I personally haven’t seen a new car like this so cheap. Yes there are some cars that are years older that are better, but I’m only saying a new car like this is good value.

Why am I getting called a troll? I’m posting about a car on a chuffing motors forum its like a witch hunt? :(

and i wouldnt consider age enough of an incentive to make myself drive a vauxhall

Great. But that isn't what the thread is about. It's about value for money.

You want to talk about what cars you would and wouldn't like to drive? Make your own thread. :)

After driving 25000 miles in 10 months in a vauxhall a couple of years ago there are soooo many cars I'd rather have. That's without having to look at that thing every day, it's ugly as sin :(

Can't comment on the drive of anything other than the Alpha but they're certainly better looking :p

Not sure I get why the OP is apparently a troll, though. It's an interesting thread both from a 'wow thats cheap' perspective and a 'why I wouldnt buy that' perspective.

It was more a tongue in cheek comment that he'd dared to suggest that a Vauxhall could be of any use to anyone :p
