usb 3.0 thumbdrives

Seen the PCI add in cards for a good price but where are the thumbdrives... Anyone know when they will hit the mainstream ?

I'd be interested in a PCI-E USB card they seem ok prices currently.

yeah but you need either an thumbdrive (not yet widely available) .... or get a USB 3.0 enclosure and stick in an SSD - not really a pocket option!

In related news Nvidia has somewhat burst our happy bubble by confirming industry rumours that Intel chipsets won't adopt USB 3.0 until 2011.
Speaking to TG Daily, Nvidia spokesman Brian Burke said "Intel is postponing USB 3.0 introduction until 2011. With no competition in chipsets, it seems Intel has decided that innovation is not needed for USB any time soon. With no one to push Intel to innovate, PC enthusiasts are left with Intel chipsets and the features and performance they deliver, or lack there of."

Don't know sorry. OCUK already sell 3 motherboards with USB 3.0 if that is any indication.

You need to be careful with these USB3 / SATA6 motherboards. ASUS provide it via an add-in card whereas Gigabyte steal half the PCI-E bandwidth. Maybe not a good thing for gamers.
