The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

WWE is now advertising that July 18th PPV is titled "Money In The Bank". Also, they have April 25 PPV listed as "Extreme Rules" while the May 23 show is now being called "WWE Wild Card". A new show called "Fatal Four Way" is slated for June 20.

No MITB at WM :( ffs

WWE is bemusing recently, something is going ok yet they change it.

It's not doing as well as it has done before, PPV buys are down across the board. In fact, many of the new "gimmick" PPVs are selling better than the old PPVs they have replaced.

Vince thinks that having more gimmick stuff, on it's own will do better money for him - what he's not realising is that it may do better money but it will only draw kids as adults are getting bored of this guest host crap, kiddie story lines and John Cena PG promos.

I'm actually starting to call Impact my no.1 show of the week :(

For your viewing pleasure :D

Sucks that we in the UK dont get the TNA ppv's anymore, would have liked to have seen the Mr Kennedy/Anderson v Kurt Angle match at their last ppv

In light of news that WWE will be holding a Money In The Bank-themed pay-per-view event in a few months, the belief is that annual match has been dropped from WrestleMania. A number of wrestlers are unhappy about the apparent move because participating in WrestleMania results in a huge payday — which they may not be getting now. However, it should be noted that a decision has not yet been officially made as talent have yet to be informed of anything.

Guess it's wait and see then, as I said previously I read a report that said the qualifiers were set to start on tomorrow nights Raw....

Any predictions for tonight?

I reckon I'll go with Sheamus to retain his title in the Raw Elimination Chamber match & Chris Jericho to somehow win the Smackdown so he and Edge can face off at Mania (I dont like the idea of Jericho getting the title only so they can do him and Edge at mania though, Jericho deserves a proper run with it, not a months reign where he'll then drop it)

Looking at Goldberg shamed his WWE run sucked so much this however has to be one of the best things he did - Best.Spear.Ever!

:D

Final Card:

Elimination Chamber for the WWE Title
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Triple H vs. John Cena

Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Title
Undertaker vs. CM Punk vs. R-Truth vs. John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho

WWE Intercontinental Title Match
Drew McIntyre vs. Kane

WWE Divas Title Match
Maryse vs. Gail Kim

Both equal really, just respective brands top title

RAW title is worth more due to RAW being the "A" brand though.

And Goldberg's spear is the best around as it is so stiff, then again what do you expect from a former NFL defensive end.

Will anybody be watching the PPV tonight then?

There's noway I'll be paying for another, always ends in disappointment.

I shall just have to find a good stream, if I can't, sure I won't miss much.

Ill give it an hour and see if its any good, tbh not got high hopes for this one. The card look awful :(

I've ordered it :)

Sure I'm not expecting either Elimination Chamber match to be classics (it seems the WWE are less interested in creating Undertaker/Mankind MITC moments these days and more just using gimmicks to put on fairly routine matches) but it's the not knowing who will win and what the Raw/Smackdown Wrestlemania main events be that I'm most interested in.

As things stand the only match that does look to be guaranteed for Mania is Cena v Batista but that could quite potentially be for the WWE Title meaning a Cena win tonight.

Prior to the Royal Rumble it seemed the WWE were desperate to do Edge v Jericho at Mania, if that's still the case now that Edge has a title match at Mania it surely means Jericho is going to win tonight in return meaning Taker dropping the belt..... so if that's the case then does that mean Taker v HBK is on for the second year running?

So many questions with at the moment no answers, that's why I'm watching tonight :)
