G19, worth it?

I only want to hear from owners please!

Basically the screen, media controls and colour changing backlight on the keys is a big thing for me, I'd use them all, but what I want to know is, is it really a decent keyboard to type on? I'm a web designer and a student, so I do a lot of typing and I want to know if it's any good for general use?

I currently have a Logitech Y-SU61, no idea if that means anything, I just read it off the bottom, it's a fairly horrid keyboard as keyboards go, but it does me OK.

What I also want to know is, I know if you twin the G19 with a G13 the colours of the backlights sync on them, is there a mouse you can get that does the same? I'd like to replace my keyboard and mouse at the same time really, and if it could all change colour when I change the mode, that'd make me quite happy. :P
 
I can't help you with anything except the backlighting :p

The G9 mouse was released in the same "wave" as the G19, and I believe they both have the same custom lighting. I don't know about syncing them together, but they're both logitech and use the same software, so I assume if you have something to change the G19 backlight, it wouldn't be too hard to make it change the G9 lights too.
 
I have just got one last week and it is a very nice keyboard keys feel nice when typing although you have to get used to not pressing the G keys which i have now started to not keep doing :D

The backlight on the G19 can be synced with all the other G series as far as i know as it all rus from the same software, i really want a new mouse now after seeing how good this is it might have to be a Logitech G mouse :)
 
I knew you could change the G9's colour, but if you connect the G13 and G19 together, the backlights change when you change mode, so I was wondering if the G9 would aswell? From looking at some videos on youtube though it doesn't. :(

Yes, they are very good to type on. I've had a G15 for years myself which is very similar to the G19 (my Dad has a G19, which I have used a few times).

I've done quite a lot of programming/web stuff on this G15 - best keyboard I've had.
 
Think I'm sold on the G19 now, it's not often I get the best of something, and I know £135 is expensive, but my current keyboard has lasted me 7 years and cost £20, so on that basis the G19 should last me roughly 50 years. :P

The only question is what mouse to get? If the G9 can sync the colour then I'll get one of them I think purely for eye candyness, but if not I think I prefer the design and layout of the Razor Deathadder Respawn...

To be honest if it has all the features it should, the build quality is good, it's nice to type on and lasts me say 10 years, the tag doesn't bother me at all! I'd predict that my computer will have changed for another build in 5 years time, but the keyboard, mouse and monitors may well still be the same. :P
 
I was so tempted with one when I put my build together but decided to spend the money elsewhere on the build, may have another think about getting one tbh as they do look the mutts nutts only thng that puts me off is needing a power feed. Im fast running out of plug sockets lol
 
I have one socket on my 10 socket surge protector tower thing that is currently being unused, I intend to use it up wisely. :P

Thats with the printer and hifi plugged into the wall on another socket! :D
