Ford Focus windscreen washer problem

Hi.

The car is a 2000 1.8 Zetec and the windscreen washer has stopped working, front and rear wipers work ok.

I don't have a handbook and i cant find any info online about which fuse it might be. Anyone know which one it is?

This owners manual PDF has a fuse and relay guide but nothing specific to the windscreen washers. Are other electrical items not working?

Can you hear the washer pump when you activate the washers?

Everything else works fine. No noise from the pump though.

It was working ok last night but not this morning.

Are you sure its not just frozen?

Both mine & my gf's Fiesta does this on some really cold mornings say if its -3 and it has really froze over. Pressing the washer button does not do anything at all, no motor sound or anything front & back and it will only start working say after 20-30 mins of driving or when I get to my local asda and then come back to the car when I try it again after starting the car it will work. I think it is most probs because of how cold it is etc. Maybe it might start worknig for you a bit later on?

I can normally still hear the pump when the washer fluid is frozen. Nothing at all today though.

I've just tried again and It's still not working

Get a multimeter and test power to the pump. Then replace pump, button, or re-wire as necessary.

My username isn't in any way ironic, I trully am useless.

Ill try fuses then put the car into a garage to get fixed, thats about my limit
