The Pacific **NEW TRAILER**

Dont know how i'd not heard about this, love Band of Brothers :)

Does mean i'm going to have to get sky movies though -.-

and a nice big two fingers from sky to everyone came through my post this morning..........not a happy bunny

contracts are changing ......you now have to give 31 days notice to downgrade a channel subscription ....so sky get to shaft everyone again by making us all pay an extra 30 days when the pacific finishes.......

oh but they must give us 31 days notice on payment increase as well...........whoopy ****ing do

Can you not simply give notice 31 days before the pacific finishes so that it gets downgraded as it finishes??

erm...............................yes ...... but how many people actually read thier contracts ? i was bored when this came through the letterbox .. wouldn't normally have checked .. just said sky blah blah .. would assume load of rubbish as usual . important change tbh

Dont really see how its skys problem then, I cant speak for anyone else but when I sign up for something, be it mortgage, insurance or a service I read the print. Its not like Sky have said you must pay 30 days more after the end of the Pacific, its down to the end user not reading the print.

I guess they could make it in bold large font print so that its a touch more clear but does seem to me that the lesson here is dont sign contracts if you dont read what it is you're agreeing to (general you, not you you :) )

Having said that, I may be looking at it from a position of bias as I already subscribe to HD and movies so am looking at it from a colder position.

well i am an existing customer .... so it not a case of signing up to it ... they are changing it after the event . ive gotsky hd ( no movies or sport mind ) . its just i was going got do the cancel day afte the last epsiode approach ......ive now got to look at the tv schedules and work out when its finishing and cancel on the correct day ... thats more work for the customer and less for sky imo

Shouldnt be too difficult, it starts in April, is on once a week and is 10 episodes long, so thats 10 weeks, so it will finish in July, so just cancel at the end of June and viola ! :)

Just don't pay them! See how they like that! That was my tactic with Virgin. They soon yield.

In case anyone hasnt yet got their Sky magazine for this month, the final info is included in it. Confirms that The Pacific starts at 9pm on April 5th on Sky Premiere and Sky Premiere HD

Cheers for that. There's a hot blonde lady at work who's interested in this. Hopefully she hasn't heard the date yet and I can bargain a date with her in return for me telling her when its on. :D:cool::o

Bought BoB last week and watched the lot, read the book before watching the series and man, is The Pacific based on a book?

I havent got sky, so ill wait for it on blu ray, sky is too expensive. And a series like this wil be pirated beyond belief, (not that id use/download pirated copys). I remember shows like 24 and band of brothers appearing firstly on bbc2, they get popular and next thing they change from cult shows to mainstream television. Unfortunately the standard television channels dont buy theese shows up, im a big fan of csi and law and order, thankfully 5 has held on to them.
