Survivors - Series 2

Assuming there isnt a 3rd series planned - havent really looked if there is, they've left an awful lot of loose ends to close in the final episode

Here's hoping its a good one

I suspect there will be a couple of huge coincidences :)

I can't believe they spent all that time at the airport for no reason - what with shooting costs - so I recon Abby's son will be carted off there to be flown off for some reason, with all the Survivors dashing around (gunless) trying to stop it... :)

I think the son will secretly be a ninja-karate-pro-kid, will own the government with a series of flying kicks, fly a random plane one handed, whilst blocking bullets with the other, to land perfectly next to his mother using their sixth sense of coincidence-ness.

You don't think he'll be the head of the baddy organisation do you? Who created the super virus to get out of doing homework and who has a penchant for sending cryptic postcards?

He did WHAT?

The Group (Greg, Abby, Jenny etc) decided to go to France, Tom and another lad where to keep guard, as they needed to make 2 trips due to the size of the boat.

Abby came back, but they 2 on guard weren't paying attention, and a group of young boys came at here. Peter shot at the women, only to realise it was his mother. The book ends on that :)

There was a follow up book, Survivors: Genesis of a Hero, by John Eyers, which carries on from this point.

So the original book and TV series are different (the first 4 episodes are covered in the book, and then the odd part)

Was that really a 59 plate VW on the runway?

It was either the latest Polo or a Mk6 Golf.

56 plate MkVI Golf. My wife and I spotted this as we have one and they didn't start making them until 09!

I found a lot of it silly but entertaining last night.

- When the boy shot Tom, Whitaker runs off without stealing his automatic weapon.

- Naj has a propensity for running out of cover at the most inappropriate times. "No Naj, do I really have to tell you not to run towards Tom in that situation when there are armed baddies all over the place? You idiot?"

- When they were looking for Peter, they barely even mentioned that his Mum was here. Surely Tom and Abby would have been saying "Peter, your Mum's here" constantly.

- Why did they trust the ginger scientist enough to leave her alone with Whitaker?

I thought that, but people do dumb things with guns in films and TV all the time. Like Abby pulling back the hammer on the pistol when she was threatening Whittaker, which doesn't do anything except sound a bit scary. People endlessly **** guns when they don't need to. Tom got an "H&K slap" in when he was playing with the MP5 for no real reason. I saw another film the other day when someone pumped a shotgun before going into a firefight and ejected a full shell. Why?

I have to say I really enjoyed last nights final show. I guessed Tom was on the flight, but it does leave it open for another series.

Not as good as the originals, but not bad, I'm still upset they killed off Jenny, she was my favorite in the original, and was the only main character to go through all 3 series.

I think parts could have been done in a better way, and there was a certain amount of back tracing their steps, but it was very watchable.

Six episodes is too short for a series like survivors really needs at least 12 to tell the full story in my opinion.

I agree with this. Why do the Beeb have such ridiculously short series? US companies, whilst arguably having greater resources, at least know how to make a decent series.

I like Tom's totally inaccurate spraying, but then in pinpoint accurate (even though his arm is flailing around) when he shoots the guard with bullets that do not leave the first body they hit :D
