BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

Someone mentioned to me that people who preordered the game get it a day or 2 early than the actual release for everyone else ?

True , false ?
 
I've loved infantry combat since day one of the beta, but wasn't sold on vehicles 'till now, especially the Apache. The first time I jumped into it and I discovered I couldn't roll or slip it round and head the other way instantly like we could in BF2 I pretty much wrote it off as consolised garbage.

Now that I have some time with it I feel it does quite a few things better. Primarily that you seem to carry more momentum. Also, as much as I liked the TV missile in BF2 it really wasn't a battle between anyone but other choppers, being able to destroy any piece of hardware from miles away with one hit just seems cheap now.

I have one concern though that perhaps some BC1 veterans could clear up for me. I assume in conquest both teams will have a chopper on certain maps, right? How do chopper battles work? I've played a few games where I still had the Apache alive up to the last two Mcoms and the enemy stole our black hawk. The gunner easily managed to hit the thing and took it down in seconds. If there is one thing that got tiresome in BF2 choppers for me it was that chopper battles usually lasted about 5 seconds.

I'm hoping that other maps are larger and with no TV a chopper would have to chase the other and wouldn't result in me randomly blowing up if I didn't spot the enemy chopper first. Anyone have some experience in the first game?
 
someone convince me to preorder bad company 2 im hovering over the order tab. and the cheapest ive seen it for preorder is 24 pound, is their any cheaper out their.

If nothing else, its a much much cheaper MW2 experience, that looks to be just as good if not better at cetain parts of the singleplayer game. And worlds apart online :)
 
Anyone fancy a few games tonight? 90% of the squads I end up in are full of snipers :mad: I'd fancy a bit of teamwork.

dunno if to keep my play preorder and go somewhere else as they failed on avp for release day dunno whether to go game is that same game as in extras or whatever.

From the singleplayer videos of BF:BC2 and having played an hour or two on the mwf2 on the x-box (hardly rock solid info, i know ;)). I would say BF:BC2 offers at least the same level of singleplayer fun as mwf2, but is much much cheaper.

And if my wild hopes of the BF:BC2 singleplayer are dashed its not too bad, knowing full well what the online capabilitys are its hardly a loss :)
