Many of us on here who have used Nightbreakers have found that they have a fairly short lifespan. Although Osram will replace them free of charge, a 6 month life cycle is a little short.
Philips X-Treme therefore are a wise choice but if you want really white (with slightly less light output due to the coloured lens) then take a look at Philips Crystal Vision or Diamond Vision.

Ive just put Osram Nightbreakers in mine.
Massive improvement with brightness and distance thrown, cats eyes seem limited only by line of sight, shame the whiter hue is only present on main beam.

Have to say I agree, whilst they are reasonably bright the life span of them is just a joke.

both of these bulbs will fail within 3 months.

Strictly no but passed 2 MOTs fine and I've had them about 2 years now and put them in 3 different cars and not had a blown one yet.
No? Just because they are brighter doesn't mean they have the magical power required to move the reflector beam pattern. Dipped are still dipped.
