Nokia N 96 signal help ? and earpiece volume low?

ive inherited a N96 which whilst on the large size seems to be a nice phone....

Ive updated to the latest firmware and still it displays a very very low signal compared to other phones and the ear piece volume is way below what my 6120 classic is/

anyone with any tips?

Its a factory unlocked but i want to flash it with the normal firmware and start again, so any tips here are appreciated.
 
im loving the phone especially with the tv out but the ear volume is just to slow, its not distorted in any way. Is there no way of increasing it. ive flashed latest firmware!??

Also does anyon know how to do a factory flash in case i sell it on ebay.

You know so its like when you get it from the shops. plain with nothing on.
 
well im with 3 so went for this one.

Only thing is when i try to update the firmware after changing the code it says there is no newer ones! Which is true as i am on the latest one.

As now i cant debrand it!!??

That's a 3-branded firmware, so you won't get far trying to debrand it with that product code :p

WEll it seems to be runing better.
Still very bad 3g signal so i lock it to 2g in the bad area, although on my othe nokia it gets full 3g and 3.5g signal all day long.

Also the ear piece is so low in volume still.Might try a new one.(earpeice)
