Ok , which one irrespective of price and both overclocked to 4 ghz would give me better results in gaming and some fsx.......i7 920 or i5 750 ,,, Thanks Lenny............

The main advantage of going for a socket 1366 processor like the Core i7 920 is that the motherboards do symmetrical Crossfire and SLI at PCI-E 2.0 16X instead of PCI-E 2.0 8X like the socket 1156 motherboards.

Even thats debatable though, as the performance of 16x 16x over 8x 8x is only a small percentage isnt it ? (something like 2-4% better for 16x 16x)

For gaming I'm pretty sure you want the cheaper amd option, allowing more funds to be spent on graphics cards.

Game's just don't stress processors that much. A 4ghz i7 would be sitting around bored while your graphics cards overheated.

Unless you're playing fsx.
