Hi,

Ok ive decided on an intel i5 cpu for my new build which will be mainly used for FSX and general pc usage.

I would really like to put this in a matx case and buy a decent matx motherboard but somebody mentioned on another thread that the temps would go too high if i overclocked to 4ghz.

Would they go high still with a decent air cooler? , or do you think i could fit the corsair h50 in a matx case such as the silverstone one?

Matt

mATX won't stop you overclocking.

I've got a mATX case and I've had mine to 4.2 without any serious temperatures, can run all day on prime95 blend @ 3.4ghz in 20 degrees ambient without touching 50 degrees on the cpu.

Important thing is the airflow, my case is essentially two walls with fans all over the front, back and top. The Silverstone cube isn't as windy so it will be hotter.

Which case do you have then?
