If anyone is thinking about getting Sky, I've got a (very) limited number of offer-codes that I can give away.

Basically the offer is open to new customers only and gets you this little lot...

  • Free Sky+HD box
  • Free standard setup (save £30)
  • Free HD Pack for a year (save £120)
  • Half price Sky TV for a year (save up to £291)

I work for Sky and as such they give us all offer codes to pass-on to friends and family. I'm unlikely to use the few that I've got left, so let me know if you want one.

I just need an email address and your first and last name, then you'll get an email with a code/token that you put into the order system on the Sky website.

Once I give an offer away that's it, I can't cancel it or pass it on to anyone else, so only request one if you really think you'll use it... I've only got about 4 left.

The offer expires on March 11th so you'd need to order before then.

Reply here if you want one.

Since you work for sky can you tell me if i use this offer and want sky sports how much will it cost me per month ?

Thats the question eveyone should ask.

Bascially thats why it's last on the list....

Half price Sky TV only for a year ( save U P T O £291)

Just in case you missed it

Save " UP TO " £291 just for Sky TV..... no mention of how much you really save for the package you really want, no mention of which channels you get and no mention of what happens after the year, how difficult it is to cancel, or how many times they will hassle you to keep the contract going for longer than the reduced period ;) Or the small fact that it's not open to existing customers or previous customers...... but by all means, get sucked into that new monthly bill whilst increasing numbers of people are switching to Freesat HD (at no charge) for virtually the same watchable channels :p

If you want to pay at least £10 a month for MTV and Discovery.. no probs. I just know there loads more things I could be doing with that money than watching ads every 15 minutes.

The upto £291 is if you take all Sky TV Packs.

The package you want will be half price

The channels you get depend on the package you take

After a year you pay full price, since its half price for 1 year

Cancel - if you want to cancel, do so.

Freesat HD - lol @ "virtually the same watchable channels"

BBC HD, and ITV HD (which only shows a few programs each week) compared to almost 40 HD channels on Sky HD

And you forget to mention the 'possible' 40 HD channels are £46 a month (at 1/2 price with this fantastic offer) is £23 a month of peoples hard earned cash - or £276 a year just for a few fancy TV stations that they will probably rarely watch and most likely get tired of once they realise the cost ;)

And don't even start me about their so called state of the art HD channel picture quality ;)

If you still have any available, could I get one as well please? Was actually going to get Sky at the beginning of next month anyway.
Email in trust.

Can use HD box with a non HD tv right? That's next on my list of things to buy but not for a month or two.

That price is if you get the entire SKY TV package, nothing says people have to get the entire package.

I take it somehow Sky had annoyed you in the past

Hmm, agreed. I spend over £60 a month on Sky (I have everything) and HD is gone as soon as my 12 months are up! It makes no difference to anything I watch apart from the odd sports game, I find it makes a difference watching cricket that's all.
Massively overrated. And paying extra cash to try to achieve the quality of old technology (CRT) doesn't do it for me.
