8800GTS Vs 5770 ? Much better?

The benchies on Toms puts the 5770 at around 50% faster than the 8800GTS and the 5850 at around 90% faster. If you have the ping go for the 5850 IMO - it will give you the cover for the same amount of time as the 8800 has.

Yeah I took the FPS from the games rather than the synthetic scores and averaged a bunch of them - hardly scientific but close to what you can expect. Actually just looking at it I was looking at the 8800GTS 512 and not the 640 - the 640 vs the HDs numbers look even better.

vs the HD5770 I get around a 92% ingame increase
vs the HD5850 I get around a 175% ingame increase

I could be off - anyone want to confirm? My math is a bit rubbish:

I'm using - the bigger cards FPS - lower cards FPS - result divided by the lower cards FPS x100.
