 Have to now phone them up and basically tell them to do one. /rantoveromglolz

Never claimed off bell in 2 or so years with them and they want £300 more then anything reasonable.

They always do that with the renewal letters..

Get a quote as a new customer, haggle with them if it's much cheaper, then tell them to ** if they won't match it

I remember getting the MG renewal through, it was £200 cheaper than what I paid the year before, I simply laughed at it. They had also attached a letter saying "if you find a cheaper quote else where, we promise to match it"

Ended up paying £600 :) - Saving me a grand.

Bell tried to have my pants down for my renewal this year too.

Got a cheaper quote from Elephant (same group as you probably know), rang Bell to tell them and they matched it without a quibble. Was done and dusted with a 2 minute call. :)

I must be the only person in the world who's insurance company offers them the same/better price than they would if I were a new customer.

They seem to treat me with a decent amount of respect, probably because I insure multiple vehicles with them.

FWIW, I pay far less than that for two cars.

I stuck with eSure this year, I really wanted to tell them to FO but I couldn't find anything cheaper then their renewal quote, which was really a surprise :)

Come on spill the beans, which company? :)

Nope, your not the only one. Our cars are insured through Direct Line

Admiral are pretty decent about it tbh, I get a quote that's about £250 cheaper as a new customer, and they match it. Year after year. It's my first year of insurance with HIC though (MX-5) so we'll see what they're like come August :)

i got my renewal last week for £650, i payed £450 last year and have been quoted on the churchill site for £430 so i got to ring them up to get it down next week.

Renewal quotes are always a sham. They actually wanted more from me this year (22 1ncb) than last year (21 0ncb!), £200 more!!

So yeah, get an online quote with the same details and have them beat it, its what I've done every year and its normally no hassle.
